Copernicus Science Centre is a science museum standing on the bank of the Vistula River in Warsaw, Poland. The exhibition is divided into six interdisciplinary galleries with over 450 exhibits. Here, music goes hand in hand with biology, and mathematics with architecture. Science enters the world of emotions, and even the visitors themselves can also be subject to observation.

The Copernicus Science Centre will do their best, so that disabled persons could enjoy our offer and use our building with comfort.

The building has elevators, platforms and restrooms for the disabled. The open areas in our galleries ensure easy access to all exhibits. There are driveways in front of the building, which allow easy entrance to the Centre.

We can also rent wheelchairs to the elderly and to people with movement diabilities, so that a trip through the galleries might be less tiresome. All information can be recieved at the ticket booths.

The Heavens of Copernicus Planetarium has 3 places for people using wheelchairs.

People with eyesight and hearing impairments also can enjoy our offer. The building is friendly towards dog-guides, so that blind people can move around the complex. Deaf persons can attend our labs in sign language, however, you need to inform about this necessity before.

The explainers are professionally trained (each year they attend trainings on working with people suffering from various disabilities) and are happy to help. If it’s needed, we can select a staff member, who will be responsible for greeting a group, can help them out with buying tickets and inform them, how to move around our building. Some of our employees have been trained both in audio description and sign language. If you have questions or need help with organizing a visit to the Centre for disabled, contact us at – info@kopernik.org.pl
